Say Goodbye to Yesterday
The past years have not been kind
- to me or to my husband - when all had seemed rosy with our dreams of a life
in Spain finally coming into fruition little did we know what the future held.
But let me start back in
November 2012. This was the year my husband was due to retire and I was
given permission to continue my work remotely in whatever country I chose, just
as long as work was not interrupted. So
living in Mallorca was to become a reality.
I was responsible for arranging
all the removal and relocation details while my husband, Mick, retired and took
on the packing of all our possessions.
We went away in our 5th
wheel trailer for a long weekend as it was to be the last time as that was to
be put up for sale and on the return from our weekend away I was to take on
decorating the house and preparing it to go on the market.
Actually everything happened much
faster than I anticipated. We sold the
trailer within a week and after finishing the decorating and instructing estate
agents we got first time buyers wanting our home within two days of it going on
the market. Now I had to get a move on sorting
out the overseas removal – house sold in August with completion in November. Temporary accommodation in Mallorca sorted
and storage for our possessions organised.
If anyone wishes to read the full
details of our relocating to Mallorca and subsequent return to the UK you can
find it here on my Living in Mallorca blog https://livinginmallorca.wordpress.com/
